The Digistone project

Digistone is a 2-year research and development project under the European FP7 programme. The technological development of the project will be an outdoor digital signage solution that - overall - is considerably more energy and resource efficient than state-of-the-art LED and LCD outdoor screens. The solution will be resistant to elements and vandalism, and does not endanger the environment by being dependent on excessive maintenance operations.

The solution with a concrete screen as display surface will be based on an architectural vision, which allows integration of new information and media technology with existing, contemporary buildings and enables highly innovative landscaping and street furniture applications.
